Last week on June 15th was my birthday! Unfortunatly both Scott and I had to work, but it was still such a great day anyway. When I got home from work I walked up to my door and saw this...
It was so sweet. Obviously Scott didn't do it haha but I did later find out it was my darling friend Paige. Thank you Paige!
After that I walked in the house and on the table was this...
Scott knows how much I love cupcakes, and in the bag, an amazing new purse he got me. I dont have a good picture yet, but when I do I will put it up :)
Then he surprised me and took me to dinner here...
and we at looooooots of this...
After we got home our friends David and Brittany came over and she brought us delicious cookies and we played 10,000 and she gave me the pencil test to tell the gender of baby!...
Then after they left I took this picture of baby boo...
17 and a half weeks, large and in charge!
It was an awesome birthday:) Thanks to everyone who made it so great! (which includes my mom and dad who provided money for a birthday shopping spree!)
Then that same weekend was Fathers Day so Scott and I drove down to SLC where I took him to a surprise dinner at Buca Di Beppos! P.S. THE FOOD IS AWESOME, and when they found out what we were celebrating, they gave us this fun card signed by the staff!
Then we went over to the Marriott City Center Hotel where we had our wedding dinner and spend our wedding night, because I made a reservation for a romantic weekend, they even took our truck in the valet even though it was SO dirty! And everyone called us Sir and Ma'am.
We stayed on the top floor in an amazing room (but not as nice as our wedding night though lol) I gave Scott his present (a new season of Home Improvement) and we went to the hot tub, even though I could only sit with my legs in it :( We took a trip down the floor outside the ballroom our wedding reception/dinner was at, and I forgot how beautiful it was...
Then Room Service showed up with this...
...and it was romantic :)
The next morning we slept-in in our king size boat of a bed with egyptian cotton sheets. Until Room Service showed up with this...
...and we pigged out all morning! We had the MOST amazing birthday/fathers day weekend, I wish we could do it all again. Im lucky to be married to the man of my dreams:)

I got a promotion!
So as I mentioned a while ago, I got a new job. It was not a job I expected I would ever have, or even thought I would want, but honestly I love it so much. I work for a disability law firm called Myler Disability. I had heard about it from my friend Jillian who worked there and figured I would see if I could work there too. The day of my interview I stressed out as they had me do a typing test to measure my WPM and asked me math and spelling questions. Luckily I didn't totally blow it, and I got the job :)
Basically my job was working in the DLC. People would call in, or I would call people who needed help filing for a disability claim with Social Security. It was a long process, as I had to qualify every person I talked to to see if they were even eligible to submit a claim. Our calls were only supposed to be taking about 15-20 minutes but everyday I would get a couple calls that stretched out to 45 minutes, because they wanted to tell my every detail of what has happened to them. Sometimes it was also really difficult because some of these people are mentally disabled too. They aren't in the right frame of mind, and they would yell at you or get mad at you for no reason, even though you were just trying to help them.
But sometimes you got a person that you could tell really really needed your help. It was most satisfying to help those people. And sometimes there were people you couldn't help. All day you would get these lame bogus claims from people who had asthma or ADHD who were just too lazy to work and wanted to file disability, but I really wanted to help those who really needed it. I remember one woman who called in who was obviously strained in her speech. I could tell something was really wrong with her, but I couldn't understand a single word she said. She kept asking for help, and I kept asking for her to give the phone to someone who I could communicate with. Eventually I could make out that that person was not home and couldn't help her. I felt SO bad cause there was nothing at all I could do. I wanted to help her so bad, but all I could do was give her the Social Security Office's phone number. That night I went home and cried. I cried for a long time cause I wanted to help her so bad and I couldn't. Sometimes things like that really took a toll on me, but more often then not, I was able to help people who needed it.
So last week at work my supervisor walked down to my desk and asked to speak with me for a second. My heart fell into my stomach as I thought I was in trouble. He took me into a private room and told me to sit down. He asked me about what my plans after having a baby were and asked me how I felt things were going. I stuttered as I tried to explain my intentions, shaking with fear that I was in trouble for something and afraid I was about to lose this job I loved. He finally explained that they have an opportunity in a higher department called the RTS management and thought I would be a good fit for it. I about passed out! He asked if I wanted to accept the position and I of course said yes! He told me to go gather up my stuff and I would be moving over that day. Next thing I know Im saying goodbye to my team members (which I was sad about cause I really liked them) and I was in my new department at my new big and spacious desk! So far this week I have been training and I love my job even more now. Bascially I work in a department where the clients claim has already been denied by SSA 2 times already, and in our department we prepare them to get ready for their hearing with the judge, so the judge makes the decision on whether to approve or deny them. I basically communicate with clients, doctor's offices to recieve their medical records, and the ODAR (Office of Disability Ajudication and Review). I feel a lot more responsibility on my now because this is so much more important that everything be accurate, but I am beyond excited that I have this new job and feel so blessed that I got a promotion!

The summer fun begins :)
The last 2 weeks Scott and I have been able to do some pretty fun stuff, and it makes us more and more excited for summer, since it's practically here! Last week on Thursday we drove down Scott's sister Katie's house for her husband Nate's surprise birthday party. It was super fun of course, because it of course had our favorite thing...food! We got to spend some quality time with the family, and Scott got to play a ton with our nieces and nephews. It was most entertaining when Drew got a hold of the chocolate cake and pretty much ate an entire brick. He was hyper as a...well a 2 year old on a brick of chocolate. lol Thanks for having us come down Katie!
This Saturday we also had a really fun day. We started off by going to this new mexican restaurant in Orem called Milagros, since I was badly craving some mexi food lol. Lunch was great and we headed over to the movie theather to watch Super 8. FYI...super good movie! It pretty intense, and turned out a lot different than I expected, but well worth it. After that Scott and I headed over to Scott's friend Marc's bonfire around Utah Lake in Spanish Fork. Again I loved it cause it was well stocked with food! We roasted hot dogs around the bonfires (there was one big one, but the heat was so intense they also made a tiny one lol) It was really fun getting to meet a bunch of Scott's work friends, although us staying up past midnight made us feel like old farts! Are we that seasoned already?

I need help with my diaper bag dilema!!!!
Ok so I have been looking into diaper bags recently, and have decided on the brand I want. Im being a little picky on a diaper bag because 1. I don't like "diaper bags" in general. I think they are so ugly, and, 2. because I want it to be stylish and last a long time for as many of my children as possible.
I decided that I want a Petunia Pickle Bottom bag. A lot of friends have this bran dof bag and love it, even 2 of my pregnant friends just got them last month and are in love with them already!
Well here is my issue, I can't decide which one I want. There are 3 different styles to consider, the "Boxy Backback" the "Cake" bag and the "Sashay Satchel"
Help me decided which one to get!
The first one is the Boxy backpack, and I would get it in the Tea on the Thames version. I like it cause its roomy, the outside is wipeable, and the roolover top tools out into a changing pad. its about $220 at Nordstrom
The next one is the Cake bag. This style is so gorgeous and honestly I love how it doesn't even look like a diaper bag (which is why it costs and arm and a leg)and the bottom zips out to changing pad. Basically this bag is what diaper bag dreams are made of, I just dont think I could bring myself to spend $350 on diaper bag especially when the baby is gonna cost so mcuh to begin with.
Finally the last option is the "Sashay Satchel" Its beautiful cause it doesn't look like a diaper bag and it is the cheapest option at $119. It has a lot of pockets but the changing pad is on the inside and has to be folded up and put back inside, which is kinda a bummer.
So I dont know which one to get! Which one do you like? If you have an opinion let me know, I would really like some input since im so indecisive. :)

the never ending blog post
I have a ton to blog about! First of all, I forgot to update about Memorial day. Scott and I both had the day off, so we went down to Salt Lake because my sister-in-law Katie was having a Memorial Day BBQ at her house. It was so much fun getting to see all our sweet nieces and nephews and have some delicious food! I was pretty unhappy at one point though because I got tricked into eating something I never would have eaten willingly. Scott was eating something that looked innocently enough like pieces of steak, and told me to try some. Now I not a big meat eater, the only meat I really do eat is chicken, and the traditional holiday meats on holidays, but if we went to dinner I wouldn't just pick out a steak; and then there is Scott, who is all man, all meat lol. Well to make a long story short(er), Scott's dad like to hunt, he likes to hunt Elk, he likes to make food out of Elk, he likes to substitue regular meat for Elk meat...and me? I have become quite aware Im am not a fan of Elk. Or any gamey meat for that matter...Scott knows how much I hate it and just flat out will not eat it. So that is why when he offered me some "steak" I didn't think much of it, knowing my sweet husband would never trick me like that! He started smiling as I chewed it, and finally announced that I was eating MOOSE! I ate freaking Moose!!!! ok ok it was not that bad I will admit, ok it was actually kinda good. It really didnt taste that much different than beef actually...but I'll stick to just trying it once. It does knida freak me out that I was eating a moose. Here is a video of our nephew Drew doing what he does best, loving the attention!
So we got some awesome but surpising news this week, we went to the doctor for baby check-up and we found out that I am a week behind on my dates and it turns out I'm actually almost 17 weeks along, not almost 16! Now I turn 17 weeks on Sunday and the doctor changed the baby's due date to November 19th, which is one day before Scott's birthday! Unfortunatly Im not allowed to count the baby as his birthday present, dang it. But anyway the baby is doing so so so good and we actually caught a video of it moving on the ultra sound :) Most exciting of all, we get to find out the sex in 3 weeks on July 1st, which is the night my family comes into town for our family reunion and Im going to come up with a cute way to tell them what it is. Here is the adorable video of our baby moving around like a mini gymnst! sorry it not super high quality, scott took it on his phone(please ignore me being way annoying, swooning over its every move...it was a special moment for me ok!) I would like to take a time out to talk about something that is very dear to my heart, and that thing is Zupas' Turkey Spinach and Artichoke sandwich. I have always loved Zupas, their chicken enchilada soup is to die for, and almost every sandwich I have tried there I love (except for the new pesto chicken, wasn't a fan) anyway I tend to be a creature of habit, so when I got the Spinach Turkey and Artichoke sandwich sometime last year, that is now pretty much the only think I get. I am so obsessed with that sandwich now, now more than ever. I loved it before, but now I crave it at all times of the day, I have eaten it for lunch at least twice in the last 2 weeks. I feel guilty saying that, but the truth is that it is 5 times better now that Im pregnant. I need to slow down there or ill be gaining a lot more baby weight then I planned on lol Please try it. Please, I beg of you. If you like spinach, and artichoke it will change your life. Well, I should probably wrap up this post considering it's a lot longer than I anticipated. But before you go check out my gnarly sunburn I got last saturday. Stayed out a little too long, with a little too little sunscreen (ahem, i mean no sunscreen at all) smart. Im peeling now, peeling like a snake, a snakey snake. See ya! p.s.s...Ill leave you with some borderline-ish pedophil-ish eye-candy with the voice of an angel. No big deal.

Dearest Friends
Since we moved we have not had a lot of time, since everything changed once we got here, and we don't see our good friends as much, and we are both working ALL the time. But a little while ago we got to hang out with our friends Brittany and David and play Just Dance 2. We got it for our wii a while ago, and we love that game, and everyone should play it with their friends :)
We also had our freinds Ben and Callista over for dinner 2 weeks ago. Callista is on the BYU Ballroom dance team and they went to Thailand to do a dance tour, and Ben went to help with the production. When they came over they brought us some presents! It was so sweet! Callista gave me the most beautiful fan and Ben got Scott an adorable tie pin. We loved out sweet present. Thank you so much guys!
