Kid History

Have you ever seen the YouTube video's Kid History? I started watching them probably a year or so ago when a friend showed me one, and seriously, they are funny. Well guess what? I work with at least 3 of the guys from the videos. Its pretty funny cause I see them around all the time (at least Brett and John) and I almost can't take them seriously just cause I know how they are in the videos. If you never have seen one...enjoy here. (p.s. my music is at the bottom, since you'll probably wanna turn it off to watch this)

Vacation in California Part 1

So its been more than a month and a half since we went on our little Babymoon trip, but Im finally updating about it. We worked hard to plan all the details of this trip and save up the money. So here it is!

On Wednesday night after work we left for Las Vegas and got there about 10 pm. We stayed at the Excliabur hotel, the one that looks like a castle. I was pretty exhausted by the time we got there, so you can imagine how annoyed I was went we had to stand in line to check in for 30 minutes, but once we got checked in, the receptionst gave us an upgrade to a jaccuzi room for free. Made waiting in line for so long so much better.

The next day we tried to head out to see the sights early because- 1. we knew I would get tuckered out fast, and 2. we knew it was gonna be hotter than a sauna by noon. We started walking the strip and Scott was loving it, cause he had never been there before. But I was dying of heat already! It was already almost 95 degrees at 10 am! But it didn't phase Scott too bad, he grew up living in Houston, Texas. So for him this was pretty normal. We finally made it over to Serendipty 3 for lunch to try their famous frozen hot chocolate. In my personal experience with the place, the food was REALLY REALLY overpriced. It took us 35 minutes to get our burger and pizza (which were 16 bucks a piece) and they werent even that great. But the frozen hot chocolate was great though! Worth 14 dollars, maybe not. But I would try it again for sure!

After lunch we went shopping at H&M and I got baby boo a tiny pair of baby uggs. Ohhhh yes, those will be used:) We also stopped by places like the Coke and M&M store which were super fun. After all the fun in Vegas it was time to continue on our way to California, which I didn't mind one bit, because I was ready to be somewhere a lot cooler.

We drove to Murrieta, California where my uncle Colby and aunt Denise live. We were lucky enough to stay with them for most of the remaining trip. Here is Scott enjoying his life being the human bouncy castle for my cousins:

On our first full day in Cali we went down to downtown San Diego, which by the way is AMAZING! I have been there before and it was great, but its not till you are pregnant in the summer, that you can fully enjoy a place that is a perfect 70 degrees on a sunny day in August haha. We went to little Italy and had lunch at an awesome little hole in the wall restraunt.

After lunch we headed over to Coronado Island. This was one of my favorite places to visit on the trip. It was awesome to just hang out at the beach with my man

After the beach we headed over to Extraordinary Desserts and met up with my best friend Ashley and her fiance! We got some very delicious, very filling desserts, and it was so great to meet him and finally be reunited with her! We LOVED our first day out in California!

Stay tuned for Part 2! (Hopefully tomorrow)

31 weeks pregnant!

Tomorrw I will be 31 weeks and it is CRAZY how fast time has flown. When you think about 9 months, it seems like a lot of time to prepare and have everything ready. But with only 9 weeks left till our baby boo is here, Im starting to feel a bit of panic. We just ordered our crib and dresser/changing table last week (thank you mom and dad Allen) and we will be ordering our stroller/carseat next week (thank you mom and dad Williams), but we still have SOOOOO much to do. I think I found the perfect crib set for our baby at Pottery Barn, and we have slowly gotten clothes for our little one, and next Saturday is my baby shower (which I am SOOOO excited for by the way...huge thanks to Kristy and Paige) and hopefully that will take care of the majority of the other things we need, and hopefully I will see all the invities there! Here is a picture of my invitation!

p.s. For those wondering, because a lot of people have asked. I am not registered at Bed Bath and Beyond, that was a total accident. It was what was written on the preview, and I forgot to the the girl who made them that I was actually registered at Babies R US until after I saw them printed. WOOPS! my fault lol

Having a baby is such a HUGE deal. HUGE! There have been times that I have started to get sad realizing that our lives are going to completley change in a matter of weeks, and from now until the rest of our lives, it wont just be him and I anymore. But, I know we are preparing for this baby the best we can, and I am beyond excited to become a mother. Its been the one thing I knew without fail I would be good at in life, and I can't wait to finally experience it.

Being pregnant has really opened my eyes to how uncondionally you could love someone. I love my husband with every single fiber in my body, but this love I am having for this little girl, is unexplainable. I think about her all the time. Everytime she moves it makes me smile, and everyday I am scared. Im scared because Im about to be responsible for this little life. The Lord is trusting me to take complete care of one of his angels, and when you think about it...that is a pretty heavy assignment I just signed up for. I worry about her saftey all the time, I worry about me being a good enough mother, I worry about making her happy, I worry about if something was to happen to her. The worry has started, and I don't think its ever going to go away. :)

We are so excited to be parents. Its the cutest thing to watch Scott snuggle up and kiss my bare belly. I know he is going to be the most amazing dad.

Little Boo is doing amazing. I have had some pregnancy complications (which I will write about in a seperate post) but for the most part, she is totally and completely happy and healthy. We could't have asked for more. She is getting quite large and in charge now. There is no denying that I am pregnant now, and for the the last good month, she is so squished up in my ribs, that she is always smashing her little feet into the right side of my rib cage, and refuses to move them. Holding her feet there until it starts to burn! I dont even know how much room she has left, and we still have a little while!

I havent gotten a single stretch mark on my belly...yet. OMG, seriously I am praying everyday, EVERYDAY that I dont. I have gotten 3 on my hips, and that was mortifying alone. But I think I found the secret. My good friend and neighbor gave me this pregnancy oil that she said worked wonders. She was living in Los Angeles when she have her little girl and she said her doctor who delivers movie star babies, suggested it, cause all the clientel said it works amazing. She gave me her's and I used it religiously, day and night, on my stomach...and forgot my hips. That could explain a lot. She said her mom got TONS of stretch marks, but with using this she didnt get one. I had to get a new bottle, its a little pricey at 23 bucks a bottle, but well worth it.

Weleda Pregnancy Oil. If you are pregnant, or going to be pregnant, invest now! You can get it online at their website, or special order it from Good Earth stores.

Well I will leave you with some pics of the progress, and a picture of my new diaper bag. I finally picked one, and I love it too much.

My mom brought these for the baby when she was in town-

24 weeks!

29 weeks!

P.S. my next post will be about our vacation. I promise!

Worst blogger in the history of ever.

GAH! I have SUCKED at blogging, pretty much the entire summer. I want to say there is a good excuse for it, that maybe we have been so busy and been having so much fun, because we have! and I want to say there is a better excuse than that. But alas, there is not. So I will try and update our entire summer in a few posts, lets see if we can make this happen. Well first of all, back in July Scott and I went to the Days of 47 Rodeo at the Maverick Center. I had never been to a rodeo before, only to monster truck rallys and such, so this was very exciting to me. It was fun getting to see all the tricks people could do, but I was very unhappy when they started roping the baby cows around their necks. I felt like it was cruel and didn't want to watch that part, so I went and got a funnel cake, but I showed up right in time for the bull riding...check out this guy getting speared in the butt!

After the Rodeo was over and we got in the car, my sister-in-law called with some very bad news. Their horse Gypsy had died. She has had a long history of bowel problems ever since she had her baby horse, and they even got her surgery in May to try and fix it. But yet again she was in pain, and they decided the best thing to do was to put her down. It was so sad. I cried a bit thinking about what a good horse she was, she really was so sweet, and as long as I have known Scott, that horse has been his fathers pride and joy. She was the first horse I have ever really riden and she was a great horse to learn on. Im so sad to see her go, but I know that she is in a much better place and is finally out of pain.

On a lighter note, we have been having a super fun time with our friends/neighbors we live by now. The summer has been so fun with them, we do a lot of fun free things, and everyone gets included. We do everything from group games of Werewolf at Jake and Diana's place, to girls night watching Bachelor Pad. Its nice to make some friend we have a lot on common with. A couple of them even have babies already, so Im excited to have little play dates. :)Here are some pictures of some stuff we have done with friends this summer...

I will update tomorrow. But for now, its time to retire to bed with my man, and a new season of Dexter. TA TA!
