Im obsessed with Pinterest

Ok, so a couple months ago a friend told me about this website called Pinterest. When she was telling me, I didnt really think too much into it, I certianly didnt want to join ANOTHER website that wastefully soaked up all my time, so I never looked into it. Then one day out of the blue I remembered the website and I was bored and decided to check it out. As soon as I got on there I was greeted by all the most beautiful, delicious, and inspiring pictures I had ever seen. This was gonna be a problem.

I joined finally, and since have been pinning and re-pinning my little heart out. At first it was just to collect ideas for baby boo's nursery, but then it became "oh, i love that dress." and "OMG I could die happy eating that." Needless to say, I have become somewhat of a fanatic. Endlessly fantiscing about all the gorgoues things in life I will probobaly never wear, the amazing places I will never go, the home decor that makes me want to change my whole house, and the delicious recipes that I will always be too lazy to make. ahhhhhhh...But a girl can dream.

Apparently dream so much that I think its a reality for me to go on an all day shopping spree at the mall, stopping and buying something at every store I went to. I was a little out of control I will admit. I recall several times thinking I should stop. Everytime I handed over my debit card, my heart fluttered a little bit thinking of my dear husband out there working while I am shelling out the money he is putting in all day. I am NOT a unwise spender. I dont go shopping everyday, and I dont just blow threw our money getting whatever my heart desires. But that day I was not me, and I blame Pinterest.

All afternoon I DREADED seeing Scott, for fear that that might be my last day on this earth. Just kidding. My husband is one of the most mellow people I have ever met. It takes a lot to get him upset, and besides, he loves me and honestly, he pretty much gives me whatever I want. I just give him my sweet puppydog look and BAM! it's over. But remember, I was not in the right frame of mind to begin. I was living in a fantasy world that afternoon in which I could buy whatever I wanted, it was not beyond me to think I was going to die. He was not mad actually at all...by that evening he said to me out of the blue "so what did you get at Nordstrom?"..."a watch?"..."and at Forver 21?"...he listed off a few more stores and smiled, and that was it, and actually the next afternoon suggested that we go to the Park City Outlets. Maybe this fantasy land is a reality after all?

Lets not get too hasty.

Anyway I really need to get a grip. I don't feel that bad for my shopping spree, because right now, we are making really really good money. It's such a blessing, especially after more than a year of struggling to get by. But we should be using that blessing to save and prepare for the baby. I think that is why we were blessed with it in the first place.

Well as I continue to try and navigate the difference between my life, and my wannabe life that Pinterest pulls me into, I invite you to join me if you havent already. Right now Pinterest is intive only and so you have to have someone on the site invite you...like me! I have 5 invites so if you want one, let me know, but don't say I didnt warn you. It will make your brain explode with all the amazing possibilites in life.

In the meantime Im just going to look forward to our vacation to Cali in a month, and try to focus on that, and not the fact that I intend to shop for the trip.

P.S. In other news, my best friend Ashley is ENGAGED!!!!! October 15th in the San Diego Temple is the day, and baby boo better stay healthy, cause Im Maid of Honor, er Matron of Honor...but I dont like the sound of that. Conrats Ash, love you!

Drumroll please!!! Baby is a....

GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!! WE are super happy to announce that our little baby boo, is now officially a girl. Im still a little bit in shock because for some reason I could swear it was a boy. I dreamed about a boy, everyone thought it was a boy, and Scott pretty much convinced me that there is NO way it was not a boy. So when the ultra sound tech pulled up to legs spread eagle, and said "it's a girl" my mouth literally fell open. And then I looked at Scott, completly wide-eyed. Not what we were expecting, and it's been really weird calling it "her" and "she" all day now, but I am so excited. We are so happy and so blessed:) Here are some pictures of our little lady at her ultrasound.

Ain't she a doll?
