Lately

I have not blogged in a while. Not much has happened, you didnt miss a lot. My birthday happened I guess. That's basically all I can say, it happened. Lets just say the older I get the more I realize birthday's are totally pointless. I used to get so excited about my birthday when I was younger, I seriously used to consider it a holiday. But now Im older and I realize birthday's are just not that important anymore, to anyone and life just gets in the way. Ahh getting older. It's lovely. I did get a nice check from my parents to spend on whatever I wanted. And spend I did! HAHA I went crazy in Forever 21, Victoria's Secret, and H&M. Yeah they have one of those out here! very cool. It was nice, it's not often anymore that I just get to buy clothes without asking the top dogs permission. :)

In other news Missouri is getting disgustingly hot. That is all I have to say about that.

Scott is working very hard lately, not that he doesn't always but I am so proud of him! He is so dedicated and driven, qualities I admire of him very much. I cannot lie, this Pinnacle Security thing has been MORE than a pain in our butts. The area, the managers, the people he works with, ugh. But Scott is just such a wonderful person and he is so optimistic so I just know this will turn out for us.

We went to St. Louis downtown 2 Sundays ago after church, I haven't been there since I was 8 years old. (Fun fact of the day!: I was baptized in the Missouri river in Nauvoo) aside from the fact that walking from your car to a trash can 10 feet away causes beads of sweat down your face and back, it was awesome to walk around and enjoy the sites! We love being able to spend quality time together :)

New Town

So the end of this week here has been a lot better. On Thursday night we went to Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner to meet up with some of Scott's office. While we were there I met one of the other wives named Whitney. Yesterday she invited me to go to the pool with her and another one of the wives named Jane. I really like these girls, they are really sweet, and Whitney has the CUTEST little 18 month old named Jett. We are trying to plan more activities through the week so we are not so terribly bored!

Today we went to the adorable little town called New Town. It seriously is the most perfect little town. It looks like straight out of a magazine or like the town from the Stepford Wives. The houses are all perfect, their little shops and boutiques are all perfect, everything about this town was perfect, its like you would never need to leave. It had a dentist, a barber, a church. Everything you would ever need! Has anyone ever seen The Truman Show? It was like that, like built to be in a movie or something, but people actually live there...and get married there apparently. There was like 4 weddings today. But anyway I took a few pictures of the cute stuff there, and at this Boutique I found a funny coaster (see below) and I found sex tokens hahaha really. You can't see it very well, but one of them says 'good for a afternoon delight' LOL you better believe I bought them. And I took a way cute picture of Jett playing in the sand (yes sand! white sand! this town had it all, I felt like I was on the East coast.)

...Day 4

I have been here in Creve Coeur Missouri now for 4 days. 4 really long days. It's not that I hate it here, it's actually really beautiful and hot, which I am enjoying. There are 4 pools at my complex and there is a HUGE mall down the street, so that is not a problem. It's just really hard out here. Right now the other girls are not out here yet. They are both getting married this weekend, and wont be here for another week and half, and Scott is gone at work all day= me alone ALLLLL day long. I have been spending my days sleeping in, I have gone on runs and walks and explored the area, gone to the mall, layed out at the pool, watched lifetime movies on my laptop (we have no cable and thank the lord for unsecured wifi). yes it may sound like I am living a cushey lazy life right now, but it is actually very lonely. I dont know one single person here, and Scott is gone all day. But the plus side is it really makes me appreciate him more and the time I get to spend with him, and I get excited for when he gets home.

Scott is selling security systems for Pinnacle. I am really excited for him, but it is really scary. It is full commission and if he does not sell one one day he does not make any money. The first day he went out, which was Monday, he worked all day and finally called me around 4:30 to come pick him up (he usually is supposed to work till like 9). He was so frustrated because he was rejected all day and made no money. He came home with the worst headache so bad that during the night he woke up and layed on the bathroom floor cause he thought he was gonna throw up. POOR BABY! I knew he must truly not feel good, cause I have never seen him sick, ever!

But yesterday he sold one! I was so excited I almost danced around our apartment. I can just tell this is going to be a roller coaster of a summer.
